Bring Back the Real Car Culture
There was a time when car culture was about late-night drives, busted knuckles in the garage, and pure happiness behind the wheel. It was about community, not showing off. But today? It feels like it’s been taken over by egos, flexing, and people yelling online whose loudest engine sound is their dad’s car starting.

The EV Hate Train
Somewhere along the way, hating EVs became the “real carguy” thing to do.
You’ll hear stuff like:
“EVs have no soul.”
“They’re just appliances.”
“They’re killing the car scene.”
But the truth? Most of this hate is just missing engine noise or the feel of a clutch, not actual facts. People hate EVs because they miss oil changes, gear shifts, and garage nights. It’s nostalgia, not logic.
EVs are fun in their own way. Instant power, silent speed, and cool tech. Just because it’s not the old way doesn’t mean it’s boring. You don’t need noise to feel something.
“Real Men Drive Manual” – The Manual vs Auto Drama
Some people still believe that driving manual is what makes you a “real man.” If you drive an automatic, you're weak apparently.
The internet is full of memes and comments roasting auto owners like choosing comfort is a sin.
But here’s the reality: today’s automatics are insanely fast. Most high-end performance cars now come with auto or dual-clutch gearboxes. They shift quicker, smarter, and get better times than most people can ever pull off in a manual.
And let’s be honest, a lot of these “manual or nothing” folks are just posting pics of their dad’s car anyway.
Fuel Tank Lid Fights? Seriously?
This one’s hilarious. People now argue over which side the fuel tank lid is on.
“Left side? lower your voice”
“Right side? Unreliable german.”
Both of you shut the F up! I am 100% sure anyone who had bought a car with their hard earned money will never look down on others like how these idiots do. STOP flexing your dad's money.
Instagram Flexing: Fast or Fake
Instagram ruined a big chunk of the scene.
0–100 reels.
Drag racing at red lights with stock cars.
“My car’s faster, your opinion doesn’t count” energy.
It’s not about cars anymore, it’s about chasing likes. If your car passion fits inside an Instagram filter, you’ve missed the point.
Flexing Your Dad’s Wallet
Let’s address the elephant in the room.
So many people are online showing off cars they didn’t buy, fuel they didn’t pay for, and EMIs they don’t even know exist.
Bone stock, not built, not earned, just borrowed. And somehow, they’re the ones trolling others?
That ain’t car culture. That’s cosplay with your dad’s keys.
Manual or Auto: Enjoy the Drive
I love manuals. Built some of the fastest manual cars in the country. The joy of a perfect shift on an empty highway at night? Nothing beats it.
But here’s the thing, loving manuals doesn’t mean hating automatics.
Autos are amazing in traffic. They’re crazy fast today. And most importantly, they’re fun too.
Enjoying automatics doesn’t make you any less of an enthusiast. It’s not about what you drive. It’s about *why* you drive.
What Real Car People Actually Do
They earn it: Work hard, save up, buy their own cars. No hand-me-down hero stories.
They respect all builds: From budget beaters to high-end machines—every car has a story.
They share knowledge: Real ones help each other out, give tips, and grow the scene.
They build community: Not just followers or likes, but friendships and shared passion.
The Final Gear: Less Hate, More Heart
Let’s bring the soul back.
Doesn’t matter if your car is electric, petrol, auto, manual, left-tank, right-tank, NA, turbo, or stock.
Stop hating on others car or build.
Stop flexing with borrowed cars.
Have fun with what you have.
If you really love cars, let it show in how you drive, how you speak, and how you treat others in the scene. The only badge that matters is the one you earned yourself.
More gratitude. Less attitude. That’s how we fix car culture.
